Azzeddine is currently professor of agricultural economics at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, USA; professor of economics, University of Dubai; and Senior Economic Advisor, Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He is a research fellow of the Economic Research Forum, was a Fulbright Scholar and a visiting professor at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, a teaching fellow at Harvard University, and a visiting professor at the Aridoculture Center at Settat, Morocco, the Catholic University in Italy, and the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Azzeddine is listed among the top 1000 most cited economists (1990-2000), is a member of Phi Beta Delta, the Honor Society of International Scholars, and is the winner of the University of Nebraska 2008 Excellence in Graduate Education Award for Outstanding Contributions to Graduate Education. He is also the founder and director of Center of Agricultural & Food Industrial Organization (CAFIO), founder and editor of the Journal of Agricultural & Food Industrial Organization (JAFIO), founder and managing editor of Review of Undergraduate Research in Agricultural and Life Sciences (RURALS), and associate editor of The Middle East Development Journal (MEDJ). In addition to agricultural and food economics, Azzeddine's research interests include applied microeconomics, industrial organization, econometric modeling, international trade , and economic development. Azzeddine is a Moroccan-born U.S. Citizen, married to Swedish-born Biostatistician Sara Melin, and has four children.
